MILSIG Canada hosted the very first annual MILSIG Limited Paint Conference on May 19th and 20th at the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond, British Columbia. This two day paintball industry only event was the first of its kind in Canada, paintball businesses and industry leaders from accross Canada came together to learn more about the MILSIG brand, our future outlook and the future of the paintball industry. The event was a huge success and marked a new milestone for MILSIG. It was also crucial in setting the tone and foundation for the future of milsim paintball in Canada with the debut of the International Limited Ammo Paintball Series (ILAPS) and the International Paintball Marksmanship Competition (IPMC).

2009 MILSIG Limited Paint Conference Room

Following this, an intensive technical training course on the MILSIG K-Series ELITE, instructed by our very own CEO, Mr. Nelson Lau. The dealers who attended the conference and completed the training course successfully have earned their status as a Certified Service Centres for MILSIG products in Canada. During the conference, many important issues concerns of the paintball industry were addressed and discussed, including the evolution of the sport, the sustainability of the paintball market as well as some of the issues and problems faced by dealers and field owners accross Canada. Special thanks to Mr. Doug Brown, co-founder of National Paintball Supply Inc, for sharing his experiences and expertise with all of us and explaining the evolution and problems with the current situation of the paintball industry. The old days of large paintball corporations pumping millions of dollars into marketing and giving the best equipment to the best speedball players is over. As the cost of equipment and paintballs went up, the sport of paintball had slowly become a hobby exclusively for the wealthy, making it extremely hard for normal players who make average incomes to be able to afford to play paintball regularly.

Mr. Nelson Lau, CEO of MILSIG Industries Paintball, giving a speach on
the business aspects of the paintball industry

By having so many experienced and knowledgeable individuals in the paintball industry gathered all in one room, the ideas and discussions that came about were very positive and extremely valuable. We at MILSIG are extremely proud and appreciative for such amazing support! I wish that all of you enjoyed our hospitality and the River Rock Casino Resort venue that we chose for this event. It was a very significant meeting for all of us with clarification on the history, current status, and future outlook of the MILSIG Brand as a whole.
