2009 Paintball Extravaganza After Action Report
Every year around the month of february, paintball manufacturers, distributors and business owners from around the world converge at the Paintball Extravaganza Tradeshow to showcase their products and find out whats new in the paintball world. Hosted by Paintball Events Unlimited, this years Paintball Extravaganza was held at a new venue at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Downtown Atlanta, Georgia, USA. The Paintball Extravaganza is the largest paintball industry tradeshow of its kind, growing every year since its first debut in 2004 and it is it was event that we could not miss. With the success of the February show and by popular demand, the guys at Paintball Events Unlimited decided to host a 2nd tradeshow this year in September. When we heard of the news we knew we had to be there.

This years Paintball Extravaganza has grown significantly from last years event with over 60 exhibitors from the United States, Canada and all around the world, filling up over 120 exhibit spaces inside the Hyatt exhibition hall. This show is also the place for retailers, dealers and field owners to complete the various technical training courses offered by the manufacturers.

This is the very first paintball tradeshow for MILSIG so we took this oppurtunity very seriously and began planning and preparing for the event 4 weeks ahead of time. With so many influential companies and experienced people in the paintball industry attending, we knew this event would be a great place to showcase our 2010 product line and announce to the world that MILSIG is a serious up and coming manufacturer in the paintball industry. We are passionate about milsim paintball and we feel that it is time to bring paintball back in the woods where the sport originated from.

Monday was setup day for all exhibitors, we to set up their booths and displays. We started early in the day and quickly got our grid walls up, hung all our products and banners up in less than 3 hours we got our booth completely setup lookin like a mini armoury. We worked fast and were able to finish setting up our booth before some other exhibitors even started.
Our setup was a great success and throughout the show we were delighted with compliments from people who walked by our booth and could not help but stop by to see whats new from MILSIG.We had our complete line of our markers including our new custom camo painted markers.
The big bad camo Super Sniper Custom was the show stopper that everyone just had to pick up and see what this beast was all about. With a 20" rail system, adjustable sniper stock, bipod and 9-24x50mm mil-dot sniper scope, this marker means business. |
Tuesday was the first official day of the exhibition, vendors and manufacturers from all parts of the world gathered in the entrance hall at the registration booth, eager to get a first glimpse of what is instore for 2010. We had visitors from all across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Malaysia, Peru, Argentina, Brazil and other parts of the world come visit us at our booth. One thing they all had in common was that they were all die hard milsim fans. They all picked up one of our markers and almost instantly their eyes popped wide open they knew instantly that MILSIG's are not your typical paintball markers.

With over 20 years of experience in the manufacturing industry we know how to make high quality and dependable paintball markers. Our cooperation with several LE/MIL training agencies have driven our R&D department to develop new technologies and innovations, resulting in one of the most rugged paintball markers currently available.

We at MILSIG would like to thank all the industry leaders, dealers and players for all the positive feedback and suggestions. We are sincerely grateful for your support and will continue to innovate and strive for excellence in hopes of ever promoting the sport of paintball and to bring back the good old days in the woods. It was also a pleasure to be booth neighbours with Ed and Nolan from Exalt Paintball and Gavin and Isaac from Kohn Lasering

We were also extremely happy to see our friends from PBL who had kindly stopped by our booth and gave us the oppurtunity for a quick video interview to showcase our latest 2010 products. Rainstorm Flooding in Atlanta Update
We left Atlanta on Saturday on the morning of Sept 19th, during our drive to the airport, it was raining extremely hard and caused our rental car hydroplane dangerously along the highway, we were barely able to see the road on the I-85 highway. After returning our rental car we quickly took the shuttle to the airport.
After 14 hours of flying and 2 connecting flights, we finally returned back home in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Couple days after we landed, we learned that there was a major rain storm in Atlanta and 9 people were killed from the flooding caused by the rain storm. If we had stayed for one extra day things could have been very different for us and we thank God looking after us. We like to send our deepest condolences to the people who passed away, may you rest in peace. We wish and prey for the safety of everyone in Atlanta, Georgia. Please hang in there, stay safe, take care of the people around you and fight through this disaster. God bless you all. |
